Dynamic and levelheaded, Rock Pring makes complex law, science, and policy succinct and understandable. He has represented businesses, governments, and public interest groups. Rock has been regional counsel for Environmental Defense, advised governments in the US and abroad, and litigated cases on government natural resource programs. He has served on numerous national and international regulatory and advisory boards and chaired the State of Colorado Hazardous Waste Commission.
A tenured professor at the University of Denver Sturm College of Law, Rock teaches international environmental law, international water law, environmental law, constitutional law, administrative regulatory law, and supervises the Water Law Review. He has also taught in the graduate school of Environmental Science and Engineering at the Colorado School of Mines for over twenty years. Rock holds a B.A. (honors) from Harvard University and J.D. (honors) from the University of Michigan.
