Before joining Watermark, Mark worked in Africa to bring sustainable water and energy solutions to rural communities. He is also instrumental in founding and directing an ongoing, community-run urban water solution for the slums of Mumbai, India. He has worked as a consultant for a large aid organization exploring opportunities for water, sanitation and hygiene investments in the developing world. Mark holds a graduate degree in Environmental Engineering and is a leading expert on phytoestrogens and their role as an environmental contaminant. As a member of the Watermark team, Mark uses his technical expertise and broad skill set to identify and critically evaluate water and wastewater projects and emerging water technologies.
Having spent time in many places around the country and world, Mark now enjoys living in Saint Louis Park, MN with his wife and daughter. Mark earned his B.A. in biology from Grinnell College and holds a M.S. in civil engineering from the University of Minnesota.
